Cliffhanger

A honeysuckle scuttles down
cascading towards the rocks
that stay submerged but never drown,
a bed of jagged blocks

the water tries to wear away
with fingers frothy white,
as pale as blooms that taste the spray
when rain falls through the night,

for lately storms have gotten worse
than ever seen before,
so much that certain plants may curse
their purchase on the shore.

So today after the storm
Is it hard to get back to norm?
Somehow in nature, no matter
The damage
All that is seen does seem to manage.
Yes there is destruction
Yet life goes on without special
Instruction.
How many times when torn will a spider
ReBuild it's web?
How Does it change when tide might ebb?

This just got better and better as it went on. I was going to pick out Jinksy's three lines, but then

with fingers frothy white,
as pale as blooms that taste the spray

struck their way into my consciousness. But finally, the last stanza taken as a whole was the abiding highlight.
