I

Today's the day you came
and joined in oneness with the whole
you were christened with a name
but more importantly, a soul.

Birth I take it to be
Which is how all come to their sea
Whether or not that soul
Is good or evil depends on lifes stroll

Beautiful poem. I have a very vivid image in my mind of a baby dressed in a gorgeous white christening gown being held by a priest, surrounded by family. I see the holy water placed on the baby's head followed by a cry and smiles of joy from everyone watching. It is a proud moment and the parents can now feel safe that their child's soul belongs to god.

I like it!

My appreciation of poetry is very pedestrian. I know what I like but I have no idea why. ;)

I am trying to read all the A to Z blogs, but coming back to the ones I really like.
Looking forward to seeing what you do all month!
