Ground Swell

Incorporation doesn’t stop
with those that wallow at the top
they want a world where everyone
will rush to get their bidding done,
their boards convene with one intent
to pilfer every penny spent
by those that have no choice but buy
the plastic promises they ply;
but now the ones who have it rough
it seems, at last, have had enough
their anger spills into the street
to jar the balance of said ‘elite’
the grazing of the golden calf
should easily be cut in half
provided it’s not melted down
with every self-appointed crown.

***The first year of this blog I wrote a little ditty using an earthquake prone area as a metaphor for social injustice which now seems a bit prophetic considering the 'Occupation' - hmmm***

Bob,

Your poetic words are so very accurate. I think we have all had enough of the charade posing as 'good management', world wide.
The outrageous and the greedy have, I hope, had their days of unchallenged and unfair glory.
The people have responded!

Thank you for your Blog visits Bob. I have caught up with your poems this evening.
Best Wishes, Eileen :)

Very interesting message, at the right time. Many people work to buy things they don't really need. But it just so happens, it has become a cycle. Well written!

Well written, your verse...you chose your words well. Powerful.

The occupation was what I thought of when I read this, so I thought you were writing about that. Appropriate and well said.

Thanks all, it's difficult to write about sometimes because the true inequity is so infuriating.
