Woefully

Just because you don’t believe
Doesn’t mean it isn’t so
It simply means you’re ignorant
And have no wish to know
But your denial isn’t helping
Those of us that seek
A better world without
The exploitation of the meek.

Not Buying It

Discounting despair
Abused by the blare
Of propaganda designed to produce a good scare
I checkout nonplussed
My yap firmly trussed
A patronized patron stocked up on disgust.

Discernment

So many different shades of green
Routinely seem to go unseen
By those who see a single hue
I know I don’t, do you?

And yes, sometimes the sky can be
A breadth of blues if you ask me
Though many see a monotone--
I guess they’re blind to some degree.

Beyond the realm of mortal spheres
Are mysteries that still defy
Our probes; well here’s to hoping I
Perceive the truth when it appears.
