Jumper

The path of least resistance may be fraught
with obstacles not easily perceived
especially by anyone distraught
from wondering how much can be believed
(a mission statement can't control ones mind)
there's nothing worse than manufactured truth
but everyday new models are designed
to euthanize the energy of youth.
Obedience has got to be instilled
with penalties for obstinacy stiff
in order for the highly structured hive
to satisfy the royalty and thrive
regardless who gets stranded on the cliff
or finally leaps, morosely unfulfilled.

Oh, great poem. So sad how we lose our disobendience and passion, eh? well, or some lose their disobedience...

I am not sure if I am accurately portraying this, but it keeps making me thinking of conspiracies and government.

Media coverage and forced obedience so the fat cats can live rich with little care for those lost below them.

Wonderful words of truth.

How we are 'policed' by all and sundry...and how dumbed down we are all becoming..

We must never give in.
