Nowhereville

The coastline here is nondescript
with no inviting grottos,
the flag is pale and slightly ripped
devoid of any mottos;
each grain of sand is frankly coarse
too dull to share a glimmer
of the scintillating solar source
beneath which wants will simmer.

What's the old saying? 'I cried because I had no shoes, until I met a man who had no feet'?

Well, here in Missouri we ain't got no feet... and no coastlines to speak of, either.

It would seem that simmering wants are universal. You paint very descriptive pictures.

Like Bubba says, in the midwest we don't even have "mundane coastline"; As I remind my twelve year old son daily, "We don't have everything, but be thankful for what you have."

Nice visual, Bob.

well this one should definitely be taken more figuratively, the only coast here is by the Mohawk River, lol.

Ah, now I see this from a differant point of view being from a land of endless coastline (Florida), much of which is carpeted by fat guts hanging over speedos... can I get a collective "ewwww!"? So I enjoy those moments when can be found a mundane seashore.
