Every intersection seems to be another stop
another interruption in the still unfolding flop
that no one will remember and I'd as soon forget
but each new holdup indicates it isn't over yet.
We had an awesome bit of roadwork out here on our main road off the island and into town. The detour took us about 5 miles out of our way on a road not quite big enough for two cars to pass each other, no center line and a 25 mph speed limit (versus the 45 mph on the main road) - and a police car strategically located to hand out tickets to anyone late for work.
