Spoiled

Beneath the innuendos of an ego over-billed
are skulking misconceptions that a scavenger is skilled
when all it does is ravage what it never could have killed,

throughout the jungle proper there are many trails to take
and many that lie waiting for an easy meal to make,
for someone up-the-chain to drop a carcass in their wake

with tantalizing strips of flesh decayed upon the bone,
a maggot riddled morsel most of us would leave alone
except for brats that need a trophy they can call their own.

This is easily applied to society. Well said.

Hi Eric, yeah the jungle is rather cliche, I was reluctant to use it but it really does apply to where I work. Nice to see you :-)
