Missing Persons

'Adults have the right to disappear
if they so choose'
a statement which kept ringing in my ear--
they call that news?
Almost all of us could shed a tear
for those we lose
including those lamentably gone
while still in bed with curtains drawn.

This has much to say about the state of inter-personal relationships, and how much hard work is needed to ensure that loved ones don't slip away.

Strong poem here. So many have disappeared as you described....and no one looks for them. Sad.

I think there are times in every person's life of slipping away--hopefully not unnoticed

So much said in so few words--and so true. Nicely done!

Thought-provoking and sad piece. I wonder if some disappear to see who will look for them.

I just found your blog this morning.
Nice stuff!
Your writing style is near to mine, but apparently your well of thought is much deeper.
I put you on my blog link list, and yes--I'm reading you... Now.
