My departure wasn't soon
enough to catch the sun's demise
clouds conspired to hide the moon
from eager, earthbound eyes
but once I belted out my tune
the powerful reprise
would help reveal the breadth of heaven's scope
a panorama deep inside of hope.

Thanks, I wrote it on the way to band practice tuesday and didn't know what to call it but then my band played in Summit NY saturday night (The Red Barn Rocks!)
