Tackle

Casting lines, so many lines
without the rubber booties
flinging bait so someone dines
neglecting pointless duties.

Lacking my bestudded vest
but trolling for the proper
type of pliant colored test
to help me land a whopper.

Angling in the current tide
to populate my strophe
with lively stock identified
as worthy of a trophy.

Man, now I really don't want to be at work (like I needed help with that...). A bad day fishing is better than a good day at work, unless of course fishing is your livelyhood.
