Aspect

Mesmerized by Jupiter
I failed to look about
to see what other stars there were
and now the sun is out,

if nothing else I’m patient though
enlightened by mistakes,
my head will swivel to and fro
as soon as twilight breaks

attempting to somehow absorb
the breadth of boundless sky
that circulates beyond this orb
with truth the charmed deny.
