We are bound by buried lines
that lurk like deadly mines
or choking twisted vines

which cling to reaching limbs
with parasitic whims
while daylight slowly dims

behind dejected drapes
prohibiting escapes
for those who’d rather traipse.

Oh, of Montreal is a band. But, I do love Canada.

Here's the song. It's rather depressing, but it's one of my favorite songs.
