Misplaced

Deluded by naiveté
secure behind untarnished trust,
impartial eyes beheld the ray
of beauty in each mote of dust.

Evicted by relentless pain
the wonderment can’t be retrieved;
morose conclusions won’t abstain
existing as we are—bereaved.

Pain is not a pain killer
but rather it's the root
Wonderment can be achieved
Although the past can't be retrieved
Other wonders can be obtained.
