Follow The Leader

What common trait transmutes the meek to great?
Perhaps the need to thrive helps them succeed
then orchestrate a plan the throngs mandate,
and thus decreed quite competently lead
with noble gait whose strides accelerate
a guaranteed improvement for those freed.
Important steps must sometimes be reviewed
to make sure that momentum’s not eschewed.

Perhaps, though, it is not those who review
But get off of their asses and do
Holding no regard for the tape that is red
Doing away with bureaucracy instead
For often those who are deemed to be great
Has been viewed by authority as in grate
Forging a path without repose
Keeping the rest of us on out toes

Great job as always RC. Love reading your stuff.

Hey Bob,
Sadly, it sometimes seems like the only thing required to be a leader is to have followers. Just ask Hitler! He convinced a whole nation to play follow the leader. Beautifully written as always.
