Another Fall

The vibrant robes
Sport ruby globes
As sunlight through the spaces strobes
Like flashes of remembrance in my mind

That verse I penned
Made me a friend
Until they let the bastards rend
Our bond. I pity anyone so blind.

As turning leaves
Ride gusty heaves
A chilly brooding poet grieves
When warmer sun once shined.
