Fixer

Every strand within a string
is pulling on a different thing
and all the twists throughout the twine
are often put there by design
for our unraveling,

and furthermore the fiber’s fraught
with catenary that will get caught
wherever there’s a little burr
and then a defect will occur
when it’s pulled taut

but as the ancient shuttle zooms
to interlace both glee and glooms
I’ll try to free up every snag
and help eliminate the drag
whatever looms.

We humans tend to make life so complicated and intricate when in reality, it ought to be so simple, really.
A lovely string of words Bob.

Nice writing, Bob. :-)

I learned a new word too, 'catenary'. Never saw that one before.

Pulling on anything too tightly ~ all kinds of problems can follow! I really enjoyed your poem, Bob.
