Citizen you’ve heard before
But do you know what it means?
Defending pawns who loudly snore
Through conquest by machines
And suits that only pilfer more
While judging ways and means.
Employee yes you may be one
Performing tasks called work
While snobs in charge have all the fun
(an entrepreneurial perk)
As leeches loose in Washington
Must finance those who shirk.
Constituent a fancy word
That means somehow you owe
Allegiance to thieves who drive the herd
To graze where grass won’t grow
I know it’s all a bit absurd
But sadly seems to be so.
