Abuzz

A fly that looked like copper
On a leaf of faded brown
Was there behind my dwelling
In this likewise faded town
And somehow it seemed proper
To forget my nagging frown
Such vibrancy compelling
When doldrums get one down.

Imagine - a well written poem with doldrums.

Now i've noticed a nest of squirrels in the tree in the neighbor's yard, much more entertaining.
