In the brevity of twilight
embrace the chance to shine
for when the clock hits midnight
the shadows grow malign
Dawn was much too early
and noon was gone too soon
avoid becoming surly
confronted by the moon
for stars can lend a glimmer
of a path to the divine
so in the darkness shimmer
