Sometimes I do get attached to characters in books and stuff. Hehe.
Or when someone does something really embarrassing it hurts.

Can be observed of news anchors, especially when they smile, or have to smile at the camera, after mentioning a public tragedy and right before delivering the positive, human interest segment at the show's end. The transition can be off/awkward at times.
