Twixt illness and strife
my ill-conceived life
is much more unsound than the norm
so I delve into any old form
to shelter myself from the storm
whose inclement rages are rife
with droplets honed sharp as a knife
that slash like a sentient swarm
but I remain cozily warm
ensconced in a flowery dorm.

May all your flowers have healing powers! Take care of yourself. Shirley
Love the slashed/sentient line... beautiful.
My Thursday Think Tank Poem.
Short and sweet and oh so true...
Enjoy those flowers....they smell heavenly! :)
flowery worm,
warm words,
beautiful imaginations...
thanks for the fun read.
Oh, this is a charming poem! The
rhyme scheme is lilting.
Robert,
I'm pleased to read that sanctuary was gained 'in the flowery dorm', at a time of need.
An excellent sharing of this experience.
Best wishes,
Eileen
