Rouser

I don’t know how often I can state
Our future is a feudal fate,
My words have mentioned many times
In antiquated forms and rhymes
How fascist fools will take away
Our freedom and the right to pray
Unless, of course, we bow to them
And their oppressive stratagem.

The problem is so many turn
Their heads and just refuse to learn
That everything we see and hear
Is manufactured to appear
Informative, but it’s all lies
Designed to slowly compromise
Our logic and our sense of worth
So evil can remake the earth.

I’m just one man but I refuse
To be controlled or ever lose
My mind because some cable clown
Insists that I must fret and frown—
Remember, if we acquiesce
We’ll only expedite the mess
For when their plans make our lives hell
We’re obligated to rebel.
