Dawning

Some crows fly by the morning star
And then eclipse the moon
Redemption seems so very far
But could be here quite soon

Orion towers, arrow nocked
And eyes them flying low
Yet never shoots, though I’m not shocked
For no one savors crow.

Celestial omens seldom lie
If pupils are alert
But filtered through the mortal eye
Discernment is inert.
