A crafty pencil creeps across the page
and coyly drops a calculated clue,
attempting to enticingly engage
the agile type that hankers to pursue
a tricky trail of other subtle hints
to keep a mind that's curious well fed,
and then perhaps profers some peppermints
for it made someone happy to eat lead.
