The look is deliberate chaos
you can tell upon a glance
their hair is sculpted dysfunction
and they're swimming in their pants,
but I have learned to accept it
for why should it bother me?
It all just seems so tedious
caring what the next fad will be.
Oh, I couldn't agree more on this. My teen has to check everything in the mirror, and then check again before we open the front door so that she looks 'just so'. At my age, it drives me crazy because I couldn't care less what people think of how I look. I often wonder if I ever did, or, it's only for the young. But, it seems to matter so much more to them these days, so superficial it all is too.
ReplyDeleteWell said :)
vanity is a disease of the soul.
ReplyDeleteThis made me smile. The "swimming in their pants" look must be horribly uncomfortable. But you're right, I guess it shouldn't bother us!
