Dicey

On some it's rough
and leathery tough
but oh so easy to peel
on others the skin
is terribly thin
and clings with much more zeal,
do those with eyes
ever once surmise
a portent of their fate?
to face the blade
then be sauteed
and plopped upon a plate.
