To pests that make my patience wilt
I muster my most gracious lilt
and jerks that make my joy disperse
will seldom hear my muttered curse,
for static from the sullen sort
is never able to distort
the view that somewhere deep inside
we all have angels that reside.
A wonderful lesson in self control!
ReplyDeleteBest wishes,
Eileen
I agree with Eileen. It is a great lesson in self control, that more of us should practice. Love the poem.
ReplyDelete:-)
WOW. I'm speechless. ..I'm going through something at my work with a guy that is getting pretty ugly. This was posted right when I needed it. I actually just wrote a poem the other day about my situation. I'll post it probably next week. -Psalm 141:3
ReplyDeleteHello Bob,
ReplyDeleteWonderfully composed...
"we all have angels that reside"
I just loved it. The expression, words and the entire package :)
Regards,
Dimps
Hi Eileen, thanks though I have polished it up a bit because my curses aren't alwats so silent ;)
ReplyDeleteHi Carrie, it takes a lot of patience, thanks for stopping by.
Hey bnb, isn't it wierd how things happen? I'll watch for that poem.
Hi Dimps, hope all is well with you, thank you :)
Hello Bob,
ReplyDeleteYes, I am fine... was very occupied @ work so, couldn't find time to read your stuff... So, clearing the pending work of leaving my comments ;-)
Take care bud!
But isnt poetry a great way for your patience not to wilt? I really liked the poem from begining to end. I think maybe we all could stand to pull out the angels that reside in us every once in a while. It would make things easier...Im guilty more often for not doing so. Thanks for the reminder.
ReplyDeleteHey Dimps I know how you feel!
ReplyDeleteHi Robb, yes it definitely helps to keep me centered if I can do it, though mine likes to hide sometimes.
