formulating treatises of lower case lectures
dispensing garbled imagery with cryptic connotations
and splendidly sublime allegorical iterations;
while here in my strange little land
I prattle on, morosely bland
constructing embankments of sand

Hey, I bet Poe never thought anyone would read his crap either! Sadly, great minds and especially artists are never recognized in their own lifetime.
