Threshold

There’s someone rapping at the door
with bony unrelenting fists,
a harbinger of nevermore
that traveled through forbidden mists
to guide you on, my trusted friend,
beyond the deep and silent snow,
toward promised pastures without end
and summer bliss I pray you’ll know.

You seem to be a fine writer. Some of your works leave the reader wondering. Is this, for instance, a doorway in or a doorway out. Most of your work seems to leave a hint of mystey and doubt. Is that a concious effort? Just curious

  2. Hi,

Thank you very much for your nice comments. I always try to use words to their fullest extent and try to place them so they can be taken more than one way. That is one of the best things I love about poetry, intentional ambiguity. Take care,
