Every first hurts
Every second counts
Every third skirts
Putting forth an ounce
Seven at a rip
You’re going to lose your grip
And then you’ll see just how far
Everything starts to slip
They already messed with art
Don’t expose your heart
Or they will give you such a scar
Your pride will ever smart.
Breaking bread?
Then use your head
And try some sharpened steel instead
But if you must
Clean up your dust
Or you’ll disturb the upper crust.
I watched a graceful swan swim by
Without a single ripple made
And thought about my life for I
Leave no traces where I wade.
Decades come and go
These six went by so fast
Despite my plea to slow
They just keep rolling past
How many more I’ll get to see
Is something that’s not up to me.
I don’t care what you want to eat
I'm tired and I’ve got aching feet
There should be fast food up the road
Have you ever pondered diet mode?
Are you looking for service with a smile
Well sorry, that’s just not my style
You’re lucky there’s any food at all
So pay your bill, it’s now last call.
A pixel is a place
Where latent dreams display
Another chance at grace
Before your bones decay
There is no other site
Where promise could occur
So paint with all your might
The platform you prefer.
